Objectif du projet
The main goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of the isokinetic muscle strengthening program on the functional status of hemiparetic upper limb.
Contexte
Isokinetic reinforcement will be studied in 30 chronic hemiparetic patients with hemispheric stroke at least 6 months ago. Voluntary contraction of main muscular groups of their upper arm is greater than 3/5. Two groups of patients (treated and control) will have a 6 week program of rehabilitation including conventional rehabilitation and isokinetic reinforcement versus passive mobilization. Assessment includes clinical measures (muscular contraction, force, prehension capabilities, functional status) and kinematics.
